Facilities and Grounds
Outdoor areas
One of the first things visitors notice when they arrive at Gladesville Primary School is our beautiful, spacious grounds. Families, prospective students and visitors regularly comment on the w welcoming environment, spacious play areas and outstanding outdoor learning spaces that make our school unique.
Our expansive grounds provide students with opportunities to be active, creative and connected throughout the school day. Rather than having just one playground, our students enjoy a range of unique outdoor environments, each offering something different.
Our outdoor facilities include:
-
A beautiful shaded nature play space featuring a yarning circle and outdoor amphitheatre
-
A large grass oval for sport, games and outdoor learning
-
Cricket practice nets
-
A large sandpit for imaginative and collaborative play
-
Our farm area, complete with vegetable garden beds, fruit trees and composting bins
-
Multiple shaded playgrounds
-
Two basketball courts, including one fully covered for year-round use
-
A large outdoor chessboard that encourages strategic thinking and social play
-
A large bike storage shed
-
Multiple downball courts, hopscotch grids etc
These spaces are much more than places to play, they are extensions of our classrooms. Students learn through hands-on experiences in our kitchen garden, build teamwork and resilience through active play, develop creativity in nature-based environments, and strengthen friendships through shared outdoor experiences.
Our beautiful grounds reflect our commitment to providing a safe, engaging and inspiring environment where every child can learn, grow and thrive.

Buildings and Indoor Facilities
Our school environment is designed to ensure that our students thrive in an engaging, safe, and positive space.
Our indoor spaces include a large very well stocked library dedicated Performing Arts space, dedicated Indonesian room, a fabulous Kitchen Garden space and a fully resourced Art Room. We have well resourced, air-conditioned classrooms and a dedicated Intervention space.
We have a large General Purpose room, which is also used for OSHC, and another open indoor space used for assemblies.
