NAPLAN Data 2026

Following our amazing AtoSS data, we are delighted to now celebrate the outstanding NAPLAN results achieved by our students this year!

Our Year 3 NAPLAN results show our students performing above both similar schools and other schools within our local network.

Even more exciting is the growth demonstrated by our current Year 5 students. Between their Year 3 and Year 5 NAPLAN assessments, 100% achieved medium or high growth in Writing, and 83% achieved medium or high growth in Reading. This score measures how much a student's skills have improved over time compared with students across Australia who began with the same Year 3 NAPLAN score.

These outstanding growth results reflect the impact of one of the first major improvement strategies introduced at Gladesville: explicit, evidence-informed reading and spelling instruction through our PhOrMeS

program, alongside explicit sentence-level writing instruction based on The Writing Revolution.

What makes these achievements particularly significant is that they have been achieved relatively early in our school improvement journey. While we are incredibly proud of these results, we know there is still more to come, with many curriculum and instructional improvements continuing to be embedded across the school.

Alongside our own ongoing assessment, reflection and strategic planning, this data provides valuable insights that will help shape our future improvement priorities. We are excited to continue building on this success and look forward to seeing the impact of our work grow even further in the years ahead.

Congratulations to our incredible students, dedicated staff and supportive families on these outstanding achievements. These results are a testament to what can be accomplished when a school community works together, and we are excited for what the future holds at Gladesville Primary School.
