Life Skills Group offer interdisciplinary PDHPE / SEL / Mindfulness / Wellbeing and accredited Professional Development (NESA) programs that are non competitive and curriculum based.

A wellbeing sports program with a holistic approach to schools.

Life Skills Group fundamental movement programs focus on physical, social, emotional and attentional self regulating strategies and skills, developed to systematically cultivate wellbeing, resilience and lifelong learning, providing healthy skills for your students physical, social, emotional and mental wellbeing.

Through cross-sectional research and validated classroom teaching techniques we combine:

  • Fundamental movement / games / mindfulness and FUN!
  • Positive psychology
  • Cognitive affective neuroscience with scientifically proven mindfulness activities and
  • Solid research into child development and social emotional learning

Our programs teach students how to:

  • Build resilience
  • Develop self regulation
  • Increase self awareness
  • Practice positive relationship skills
  • Strengthen problem solving skills

Our programs also help address issues such as childhood obesity, bullying, peer pressure, negative body image, family breakdown, stress and performance anxiety issues commonly faced at school.

So often as parents and carers we are racing home from work, cooking dinner, doing the homework, getting the kids to bed and doing the house work before falling into a deep sleep; only to wake up and do it all again.

Life Skills Group delivers a PDHPE enrichment program that will extend our schools classroom learning. The enrichment program involves movement, games, stretching, mindfulness, creative activities, exercise and play aimed at building resilience, developing self-regulation, increasing self-awareness, practising positive relationship skills, understanding inclusiveness and strengthening problem solving skills.

The enrichment program is also a professional development opportunity for teachers who will develop their strategies for teaching physical, social, and emotional health and wellbeing of students by working alongside the Life Skills Group teachers as required by the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA) PDHPE syllabus.

The enrichment program will run for 6 weeks and provides fun, ‘bite-sized’ exercises that they can try at home to help each family member unwind and connect with each other.
