Physical Education

Our Physical Education program provides weekly health & Physical Education lessons to all students in Foundation to Year 6. Physical education helps students increase physical activity, both in and out of school.

Children participating in physical education classes not only improve their own health but also learn to have a more positive attitude toward physical fitness in general. Children learn to draw a correlation between physical health and general well-being, which resonates outside of the gym or classroom. A major component of these sessions is to develop students’ ability to work in teams and their understanding of good sportsmanship.

Jump Rope for Heart

Our target for Jump Rope for Heart was $250 and we completely blew it out of the park raising $892.00 for the Australian Heart Foundation!!! Congratulations to all who took part in our Jump Off Day. The day was a great success, with all the students and teachers having a jump or two during the morning. Here are a few photos from the day.

Annual School Colour Fun Run

Friday the 17th November saw the first ever Colour Fun Run at Gladesville Primary School. The students looked immaculate in their white t-shirts at the start, but were soon covered in coloured powder as they completed many laps of the course. Students, families and staff all had a terrific day.

Twilight Hooptime

We had 4 teams compete for the title of Gladesville Hoop Time Champions 2017. Thank you to all the parents and older siblings who participated and made it a fun filled evening. And a big thank you to the mums who kept track of the score board for us. We had a range of abilities and ages. Everyone worked together to ensure that all who took part had a sense of achievement and pride. Fantastic sportsmanship by all. Here are a few snaps from the night.
